Madness, misery at the time. 

Were the adjustments difficult?
Horrific. 

What was the immigration process like (visas, work permits, residency, etc.)?
No worries as my folks were Dutch before I was born and were naturalized after I was born in OZ. So I turned out to have 2 nationalities! 

What are the pros and cons of living in your new country?
Only pro is being able to see all the art and cultural wonders in Europe, and eat lots of different foods, but you can eat them in OZ now too, so that's out really.
Cons: Weather, people, sense of humor (not) , miss friends and family, foodstuffs, etc. I could go on foever. 

Do you miss 'home'? 
Yes!

How often do you visit?
Once every two years, but before that not often 

Any advice to share?
NEVER leave your roots, unless they are REALLY bad!
